Contracts between employers and employees, whether formalized in a written document, oral, or implied, are among the most fundamental agreements in our society — and for the most part, they function effectively to the mutual benefit of all parties. There are situations, however, in which these contracts and agreements are not honored by one party or the other, potentially imperiling the operations of the business and the livelihood of the individual involved.
